College Hoops 2K8 Review

2K8 basketball games just get it right. They offer some of the most realistic gameplay ever seen in a video game. If you are looking for a true sim, CH 2K8 is the game to get. You can run with multiple teams in your Dynasty mode (Legacy, create and easily modify players, and what's neat about this year's game is you can creat a prospect at the high school level, play with him in the summer camp games. With your team you can monitor all of these players progressions to find out who you want to recruit. It is really a nice-added feature to the game. As for the gameplay itself, there are still some minor issues: 1). the CPU on your team does not get back in transition to guard other players very well. And by the time you switch off to the player with the ball, it's too late. They have already scored. 2). too many missed open layups and mid-range shots. Star players on North Carolina just don't miss open shots like that! 3). Graphics, though decent, still look a bit cartoonish to my standards. The arenas look O.K., but not nearly as good as you'll find in March Madness 08. Player models are good, but again, I don't think they come close to what MM has produced. 4). The menu screens, though minor, 2K really needs to update those. They get the job done, but they're a bit outdated. Again, MM 08 has the better menu screens. 5). The color commentary: 2K8 needs to really work on this. It's just not as exciting as it should be.

Overall: this game is fun to play besides some minor issues. It lacks in certain areas compared to MM 08, but I think overall it offers the better gameplay and depth and freedom you will want in a college basketball game this season. 8-10.

Red Faction Guerrilla Review

Red Faction Guerrilla
Average Reviews:

I do not normally write reviews, but I want to mention this game to help its sales since I know it it not as heavily covered as some other game releases this year.

In short I agree with the other positive reviewers so far.I do not usually like open world games.I thought Grand Theft Auto IV was ok, but this seems superior. The mission types are more varied (to me), the weapons are more interesting (the sledgehammer alone is great!) and the ability to interact and demolish buildings is much more "real."Also the mech vehicles are well done.

The physics engine for the building is simply amazing. It makes games that do not have their buildings take damage now seem "off."

I like that the multiplayer has the standard fare, but also some newer approaches involving destroying or defending buildings. This certainly should help people get longer value.

I have not played the previous Red Faction titles so cannot compare.I will say the story is not amazing, but it is good enough. You can read other reviews about the story. And if I had to choose between gameplay and story, I would choose gameplay.

Cons: As mentioned, sometimes missions can be a bit repetitive. Also, sometimes there are way too many enemies that spawn. But you can still come out victorious.

Viewlarger. The Story
In the year 2075, the Earth Defense Force (EDF) received a distress signalfrom a small mining facility on the surface of Mars. A group of rebels callingthemselves the Red Faction had overthrown the ruthless Ultor Corporationafter years of oppression. The EDF responded by launching a fleet of warshipsto Mars to aid the miners, bring Ultor to justice and restore order to theMartian colonies. In order to ensure safety and security for the newly liberatedcolonists, the EDF set up command posts and bases across the planet. Initially, under the EDF's rule, the people of Mars prospered: colonists establishedhomesteads, built towns and independent mining operations and began to stakeand work their mining claims. But the more things change on Mars, the morethey stay the same.

The troubles began with colonists being driven from their homes and mining claims by greedy, Earth-based corporations. Then came a 50 year turn of events that saw the EDF adopting the heavy-handed tactics that it once stood against. Yet in doing so it also instilled a deep-seated resentment among the miners and settlers of the Martian colonies. One of these new Martians is miner Alec Mason, whose dream of a new life carved out of the course Martian soil was crushed in the face of EDF-ordered curfews, detention centers, beatings, mass arrests and personal tragedy. But as powerful as the EDF is, there is resistance. Mason and a small group of revolutionaries have banded together, taken up the Red Faction name and pledged to again bring about a free Mars. And though their enemy has changed, their battle cry remains unchanged: "Better Red than Dead."

Key Game Features:

Join the Revolution - When the citizens of Mars can no longer bear the injustice of an oppressive regime, the fate of the planet lies in the hands of Alex Mason and the Red Faction.
Open World Guerilla Warfare - You decide who, when, where and how to battle. Utilize guerilla tactics, improvised weaponry, and modified vehicles to lead insurgent attacks on EDF targets. Launch attacks based on your own gameplay style, take on missions in any order you choose, or engage in destructive activities to weaken the EDF's grip on Mars.
Geo-Mod Technology 2.0 - Use destruction to your tactical advantage, setting ambushes or chain reaction explosions to attack enemy strongholds and permanently modify the game environment. Leverage fully-dynamic physics-based destruction to improvise on the fly: blow holes in a wall or floor to set an ambush or escape, take out a staircase to stop your pursuers, or drive vehicles through blown out walls.
Evolving & Emergent Gameplay - Carve your path through an ever changing landscape as you improvise your combat tactics – mixing gameplay styles, vehicles, weapons and explosives to defeat the EDF.
Epic Sci-fi Setting - Explore the huge, unforgiving Martianlandscape, from the desolate mining outpost of Parker to the gleamingEDF capital city of Eos; then tear through the fully destructible open-worldenvironments swarming with EDF forces, Red Faction resistance fighters, and the downtrodden settlers caught in the crossfire.
Multiplayer Combat - There is no place to hide when you put your guerilla warfare skills to the test in a variety of highly destructive 2-16 person online multiplayer combat modes.
Xbox LIVE Support - Build your Xbox 360 gamer score, achievements collection and leaderboard placement through full Xbox LIVE support.
Guerilla Warfare
You don't stand a chance against the EDF using standard military tactics. The only recourse when the few stand against the many is the use of hit and runtactics. Learn the routes of the patrols and quickest ways in and out ofEDF strongholds. By studying these things you can instinctively know whento attack, and when to wait for a better opportunity.

Ambushes are also useful in thinning EDF ranks. Remote charges andproximity mines are your best friend when preparing an ambush. A few well-placedcharges on the structural supports of a bridge can do wonders for stoppinga convoy dead in its tracks. Above all else, remember this: guerilla tactics are not aboutfighting fair, they are about winning.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Review

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am an old gamer, Doom, Heretic, Quake (in MS-DOS!) etc.. were among my favorites at one time. My favorite games now are COD4, COD3, NCAA Football 08 and Madden 08. I have The Orange Box, but don't play it alot, I bought Orange Box mostly for the Team Fortress aspect. Team Fortress is a modification of the computer version of the first Quake game. At the time, it was my favorite video game.

I picked up Quake Wars yesterday, being bored of what I have and waiting for the new football and Socom offerings. I had downloaded some of the preview videos, which are pretty funny, from the Playstation Store and it looked fun. I have spent about 3 hours playing on and offline. Since there is not a review here I thought I would put up my first impressions.

This game basically is like Team Fortress, you have 4 different classes you can choose from. Its claim to fame is that you have missions, 2-3 in a game, and only 1 class, usually, can do the task to complete the mission and the other classes support them. For example, only 1 class carries explosives needed to destroy an objective or only engineers can repair a laser. There is a main mission and depending on your class secondary missions like if you are a medic, revive a player. The list of missions is on a pull down list where you can see who on your team is working on that mission with you.

Offline play is just like online play. First you set it up like setting up an online game, choosing map, time limit, etc.. Once you do that you start the offline and you are on a team doing a mission along with computer generated players that have unique names and act like real players. At first, you may think you are playing online. It is kind of like the demo of the online mode for GTAIV.

PROS

-Pretty fast startup time, most likely due to the first run setup which takes 8-10 minutes! I haven't check to see how much HD that took up.
-Lots of action
-Your soldier runs forever and never tires
-Great graphics
-Easy to practice offline since its identical to online play
-Ability to kick troublemakers (but when there is a kick vote, the person being voted on can also vote, strange)
-Pretty cool artillery you can build and control
-Play as a human or as a Strogg
-End of game shows a grid of who did the best in about 20 categories

Cons

-I played in 2 different rooms and on the same map and at one point in the game the fps drops to almost stop motion. I don't think it was lag. Strange.
-Vehicles are hard to turn
-The classes that can create sentry guns can NOT place them anywhere there is space on the map. You have to "own" the territory, i.e. it has to be on your team's part of the map and even then you may have a hard time finding an area where they are allowed. This is the biggest blunder and most frustrating aspect I have seen so far. Imagine playing Team Fortress and your engineer can't build past 1/2 way to the enemy's base.
-Comms. You have several simple (yes, no, etc) preset comms when you push R3 that print what you choose along with saying it in your charactor's voice, but many aren't using headsets. I have yet to see an in game communication system better then Socom's
-Controls are not as intuitive as COD4, perhaps the best 1st person shooter control setup I have seen on Playstation.
-While certain classes can dispense health kits or ammo boxes, you can't pick up weapons laying around
-Hand to Hand as a Strogg is pretty ineffectiveOverall, its an OK game. I don't know if its worth $50-60. Put it this way, I got COD4 and played the offline game to completion (6 hours) at one sitting. Perhaps a software fix will allow sentries to be put anywhere on the map, that would help. It would also be nice to allow players to assign buttons rather then offer a couple of choices on settings.

UPDATE

After playing online a few more hours I realized that many of my teammates names were really familiar. How many Gingers can there be on PS3 and why is she always killing me? LOL Then it dawned on me that the rooms are always full so the online games are a mixture of bots/AI soldiers and real people. This explains the lack of people talking on headsets, they aren't real! Anyway, after getting more familiar with the game its pretty fun. I am liking it more then The Orange Box or Warhawk. BTW its real easy to hook up online with your friends.

Raiden Fighters Aces Review

Raiden Fighters Aces
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been a fan of the Raiden series ever since seeing them in-person at the height of the 2d arcade days. Unfortunately due to its rarity in my local arcades I never had the chance to play them very often. So this compilation of the three Fighters series games for $20 is probably one of the best deals ever for fans of Shoot 'em Ups. It's an absolute steal for the price.

Each game in the Fighters series would be very approachable for intermediate and above skill levels. It's a great introduction for those who want a more action packed Shoot 'em Up experience without dipping into bullet hell territory. With only a casual commitment they are still difficult games to play proficiently, but the enemy and bullet patterns are (mostly) fair and avoidable on the standard or below difficulty levels. Average players could enjoy any Fighters game without having to posses reflexes that are beyond those of mere mortals. If lightning reflexes and quick thinking aren't in short supply however, then there is a lot of depth to enjoy... Like any great Shoot 'em Up they can be very complex or shallow experiences depending on the individual and dedication put forth. Regardless, a little extra shot of caffeine before playing might help add a few more points to the high score.

There are only two potential drawbacks... One might be some visual overload because there are just tons of objects moving fast on-screen at any given time. Still to this very day all three Raiden Fighters are impressive for 2d sprite games. There's not much in the way of a slow difficulty ramp-up such as a game like Galaga. Pick your fighter, hit start and prepare to dive-in head first! Depending on personal preferences the second drawback could be the soundtrack. It will be either great or annoying depending on how appealing someone finds Drum & Bass / Breakbeat music. Regardless, it does add to the experience of the adrenaline packed play and was an appropriate soundtrack style for each game.

So on top of the great classic game play and 2d graphics, Raiden Fighters Aces probably has one of the best arcade to console ports ever. For those who care there are well designed menus, filter options galore, a rotate screen function, saturation adjustments, even add arcade monitor style scan lines and control their intensity. It makes all other arcade compilations and ports with the standard blur/scale filter just seem that much more pathetic. New functionality like saving and viewing game replays, new boss rush modes and having an online score scoreboard with LIVE are just icing on the cake.

Maybe someone can correct me, but as far as I know MAME still doesn't emulate this series well due to the encryption of the original boards and ROMs used. So this maybe the only chance for awhile to play the Fighters series properly outside of owning the original arcade hardware. If there is any remote interest in the game please get a copy now before this becomes a lost gem and goes for 2-3x's the price!

Now all I need is some mega PSiKYO compilation of this caliber and I can die at anytime knowing my life is complete.TLDR: Like Arcade Shoot 'em Ups? BUY IT NOW!

Originally released in 1996, Raiden Fighters features seven levels that make up the game's three missions. Within these players will have access to eight different fighter craft.

Raiden Fighters 2

Raiden Fighters Jet
Originally released in 1998, Raiden Fighters Jet contains most of the aircraft from Raiden Fighters 2 and also features updates to the medals and scoring system.

Gameplay
The games within the Raiden Fighters franchise are vertical scrollingair combat shooters. Combat within the games consists of multiple stages, whichmake up the games' missions. Within these missions players have use ofa variety of aircraft which they use to attack targets both in the airand on the ground. Each aircraft depending on the game played, featuresa selection of weapon options including standard firepower along the lineof missiles, lasers and bombs. Aircraft also possess different charged/specialattacks, some of which are exclusive to multiplayer games. This game is pure fun.I enjoy the challenge of PGR and the lifelike feel to Forza.Flatout is just a good time.

To look at it, one would not necessarily think it is similar to MarioKart. However, I find the gameplay very similar - nothing too complex, your turns don't have to be great, there's a lot of attacking your opponents and you take great pride in destroying their vehicles, similar to nailing somebody with a red shell.

The game certainly doesn't take the place of the other racers, but is a great, and cheap, complement.

I found the graphics to be great as well, with tons of debris flying around the track and responding to your actions.

Scene it? Box Office Smash (GameOnly) Review

We own both Xbox 360 Scene it? games. I have been a fan of the previous edition, and was excited to see a new version available with new puzzles. The thing I like about this series of games for the 360 is that the game flows well, compared to the traditional DVD-based game, and the scoring is a lot of fun. You can see where you or your team stands against your opponents in real time. The bonus scoring is fun as well. This edition (Scene it? Box Office Smash) adds an interesting element of in-game avatars that represent each player/team on screen. If you have an avatar set up on your Live account, that is who you see representing yourself in-game. The new challenges and game types are fun and are a nice addition to the previous version of the game. If you don't have the special Scene it? controllers, I would highly recommend purchasing the package deal that includes the controllers. Especially if you plan to play with "newbies".

Burnout Revenge Review

Burnout Revenge
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love the Burnout series, and it just seems to get better with each new reincarnation, Revenge is no exception. Instead of calling it Burnout 4, the name "Revenge" is implimented with the idea to get revenge on the other drivers if they take you down. It's a great new addition to an already fantastic series.

The game is faster, a lot faster. I can't believe the sense of speed in Burnout Revenge. Running at a blazing 60 frames per second at 200MPH is certainly a site to behold. No popup, no slowdown, just smooth blazing fast speed.

The most enticing new aspect is the ability to slam cars going in the same direction as you. One reviewer in here says it takes away the "charm" stating "to me the biggest rush in burnout 3 was going 200mph flying in between cars and knowing that one little mess up was going to send me flipping and slamming wildly into the wall." That's a good point, but you can still have that feeling when you choose to go in the opposite lane as on-coming traffic still can take you out just the same.

This trash every car idea was even turned into a full fledged mode called "Traffic Attack" that is strictly for smashing up cars. The goal is basically to destroy as many cars as possible within the alloted time. You get precious seconds added the more cars you smash consecutively. It's very fun mind you, but it's actually quite easy to get gold in this mode.

Opponents are very aggresive in Revenge. Cars will sideswipe you around like there is no tomorrow especially if you just sit there without defending yourself. If you get taken out directly be an opponent, you can acquire added bonuses for taking revenge on the car that knocked you out. The more revenge bonuses you get, the more goodies you'll tally up in the process.

Expect a lot more tracks in Revenge. While a few seem to be reminiscent of past Burnout games, most of these tracks are new and made from scratch. The game looks a bit darker this time around, and the tracks are longer and more grueling than ever. Still expect to attack downtown traffic infested cities, desolate crowded freeways, streets of Roman sites, wintery interstates and isolated country scenes. I still would have liked to see the "weather" factor return for Revenge and the ability to change the time of day, but that' just a little nitpick.

All the modes are back, Road Rage, single player, crash, and the new traffic attack which really adds some fun. Full multiplayer between 2-6 players is impliments online with all the modes offers. I haven't got a chance to play online yet, but you can bet your boots this game is just as fun playing online as it with yourself, and probably even more so for other gamers. If you have XBOX Live, you defintely should take the game online to rule the streets. The cars are still not authentic licensed vehicles, no Beamers, no Corvettes or Porshes. But the "creative" copies of actual cars look fantastic and they all look so cool, you wish they were actual cars. Licensed cars would have great with all the brand names, but most have a problem with trashing them in a video game, so this is how they go around it, they make up their own. And thanks to this being an "EA" game, if you have a Madden 06 save on your XBOX, you automatically get the "Madden Van" at the beginning of the game. E.A., always thinking of one more way to advertise their gridiron monster.

Burnout Revenge is better than all the Burnouts in the past. More modes, more cars, more tracks, more speed, more frenzied racing. It's the fastest racer you'll ever play and anyone, even non-gamers would probably have a blast with Burnout Revenge. A must have for XBOX owners.

Game type: Linear 3rd person
Genre: Action fighting
5 star rating system
Graphics 3Fun 5Story 4Replay Value 2Overall 3

Let me start off by saying that this game is good, not great.I was actually pleasantly surprised, because I asked for this game for CHRISTMAS after seeing it on the xbox website. To me it seemed like one of my all time favorite orig. Xbox games LOTR 2 towers. Then I read the reviews before getting the game and was horrified.Maybe I was surprised because I wasn't expecting much, but I found the game to be fun and have that familiar satisfying combat system that I loved in LOTR.You learn magic as you progress and it's awesome being able to push, pull, use fire, and fire magic arrows at enemies. There's a good mix of fighting and puzzles here.at times you must figure out where to jump, climb, and or shimmy and use magic to build bridges.

The dragon levels are a sore spot in the game.Lack of camera panning is a cramp, but dealable.True, this doesn't offer a lot of replay value and is shorter than some games, but actually about average for this type of game (not every game is going to have 100+ hours of game time like Oblivion). This may not be your bag if your more into sandbox style (GTA, Saint's Row) games. As I grew up with linear games I find sandbox games aren't my bag. I say it's a solid rental for players who enjoy linear story driven offline play.

What I generally do is pick up games used on ebay or Amazon and resell them when done.I generally break even, sometimes even turn a profit.

Good gaming to you all,

Burnout 3 Takedown Review

Burnout 3 Takedown
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
An email I wrote in December 2003:

"Dear Criterion Games:

I hear that Burnout 3 is going to focus on wrecking opponents. This is a mistake. It's not going to work. Why turn your brilliant, traffic-weaving Burnout franchise into a demolition derby?Change is good, but this is too much - it's now a fighting game with cars instead of a racing game.Hopefully Burnout 4 will get it right.

Regards, A Fan"

Fast-forward to September 2004.Burnout 3 is now here, and I am now sending them my sincerest apologies.I now invite them to send me a very nasty "We told you so!" response, because they've managed to not only prove me to be completely and utterly foolish for doubting them, they've made what is hands-down the best arcade racing game we're likely to play.

Criterion has managed to tap into some kind of suicidal primal instinct all of us seem to have - the urge to fly through populated streets at near the speed of sound in a sleek automobile (or firetruck), careening headlong into anyone and anything in our path.Better yet, Burnout 3: Takedown now adds the lovely feature of a dream made virtual reality: smashing into pieces that no-good idiot who dared to try and tap you into the guardrail. We've all had those fantasies, right? Now you can live em in the comfort (and safety!) of your own living room.

For those of you who are skeptical, one thing should be made clear up front:Burnout 3 is very different from the first two games in the series. You'll still race through beautifully rendered courses at brain-searing speeds, missing traffic by millimeters. But even though B3 now focuses on making your race opponents wreck in the most ghastly ways possible, the intensity and rush is still here...no, it's actually been ratcheted up to a realm of insanity no racer has ever attained. It's different, but still more than worthy of attention.

One thing Burnout vets will appreciate is the single-player mode has been greatly expanded. There are a huge number of race events - close to two hundred, ranging from single races to burning laps to eliminations to crash junctions to....well, it doesn't get old.Add a ridiculous number of unlockables (including fake headlines, signature Takedowns, forty tracks, seventy cars, etc etc) and suffice to say you could finish the first two Burnout games twice each before seeing all B3 has to offer. You still progress by earning medals - only getting golds will unlock everything - but it's no longer just about finishing first.Peforming Takedowns is essential, and well-worth it, as the game lovingly displays the mechanical carnage you create, but it's not always easy. The AI is wicked this time round, and will even gain grudges for you......and go after you.If you do fall victim, you can always choose to enable the Aftertouch, a brilliant feature that allows you to control your wrecked car, and steer it into the path of your opponents.Revenge has never been so sweet.

Screaming down a Hong Kong-ish crowded street, golden Buddha statue looming overhead, desperately trying to keep your lead when two guys in F1-type racers are inches from your rear bumper.....yeah, it's exhilirating all right.

Crash Mode returns in all its destructive glory, but now it's deeper, and larger.Power-ups litter the course - yes power-ups, ranging from temporary boosts to points multipliers.Add the Crashbreaker - in which your car becomes a literal bomb that you can detonate at any time, and we're talking serious mayhem. And oh yes - this mode can be played co-operatively now.One more thing - there's 100 crash junctions now.

The multiplayer madness continues with Road Rage Mode (whoever takes down the most opponents wins), Elimination (whoever's in last place at the end of a lap is disqualified), Burning Lap (boost as fast as you can without crashing once), and normal Single Race, and there's a lot more meat here than before.

The bad?Well, the default soundtrack can leave a lot to be desired (and turn the announcer OFF, trust me), but this is easily fixed by lovely custom soundtrack support.HINT:Causing wrecks to bluegrass is poetry in motion.EA Games - who now owns Criterion - has plastered advertising signboards all over the courses, and they're kind of distracting in an annoying way. There are also many minor details (you race in car classes now rather than picking any you want, the scoring system is different, no nighttime races or weather changes, no licensed cars (like any respected auto manufacturer would let their lovingly crafted creations get dismantled like this!), Crash Mode repeats junctions) that one could complain about, but the core gameplay is so sublime, well-done, and addictive, it's silly to dock the score for any of them.

Burnout 3 is the epitome of what arcade racing should be: easy to pick up, hard to master, appealing to everyone, unimaginably intense, and unbelievably fun.Mark my words, you're gonna see Burnout 3 on a lot of Best Games of 2004 lists -- it'll be on mine, without a doubt.

Thanks for proving me wrong, Criterion. But I need to ask - what's next? You can't possibly top Takedown....can you?

Tomb Raider Underworld Review

Tomb Raider Underworld
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Tomb Raider: Underworld is another decent -- if not outstanding -- installment of the Lara Croft series. The game picks up sometime after the events of Legend, and makes an attempt to tie-up the story. The developers have made an attempt to make this the first Tomb Raider game for the current generation of consoles, and for the most part, they have delivered.

As a Tomb Raider experience, this showing is similar to past games. All of Lara's classic moves are in the game, and the controls are relatively familiar. There are some new moves, such as the adrenaline headshot, which requires you to build-up adrenaline through combat before executing the move. It is effective against humans and animals, but not so much against other enemies you encounter later in the game. There is also a new "adrenaline moment" move, in which the on-screen action slows and you must decide how you want to handle the situation -- there's no sequence of buttons to press, and no right or wrong way of doing things. However, I found that these moves were scattered widely throughout the game, and weren't as plentiful or as exciting as the developers had hyped them. The wall climb is another new move, which is well designed and makes you think a little more about how to get to higher ground -- you don't necessarily need to look for ledges. In fact, Lara can now climb rock faces as well, so this game tends to mix-it-up for long-time fans. Additionally, in order to find treasures, Lara must break open clay jars -- which is somewhat new but also counter-intuitive if Lara values artifacts. Lara's movements are a little more acrobatic, and sometimes her stance just doesn't seem right.

The camera remains the biggest problem in this game, as it had been in both Legend and Anniversary. You simply learn to cope with it, and fortunately it is never a game-breaker. There are "invisible walls", which are areas of a map that Lara can't pass. There are moments when Lara can get stuck in a corner, or simply stuck in the scenery -- I encountered several issues where her feet were apparently caught on a rock or a plant. By contrast, although enemies are persistent in this game when you kill them (bodies don't disappear), Lara's feet pass right through them -- as if they're vapor. Enemies have no physics at all once they are dead. From an A.I. perspective, the enemies are fairly non-responsive and very easy to defeat.

The game shines in level design. Each level is huge. There are no annoying loading screens or loading delays -- everything is loaded in the background, so play is non-stop. The game offers a sonar map on Lara's PDA, which I found totally useless since it did not provide points of interest or way-points. There are many puzzles -- sometimes you'll be faced with 2 or 3 puzzles within a level. Puzzles are well-designed but not incredibly difficult. There are no bosses in this game, which is odd and disappointing, considering the number of bosses that appeared in Legend. In a way, however, the puzzles have become bosses because of the skill associated with them (Southern Mexico, as an example).

In addition to the graphics, the sound is superb. The musical score is present at the right moments, but can get extremely repetitive sometimes if you're stuck in a sequence trying to figure something out. CGI animations are smooth, with excellent voice-acting.

The game is fun to play, and the story is tightly-woven and entertaining. If you've played Legend, you'll be satisfied with the one or two twists thrown your way to close that storyline. However, if you didn't play Legend or Anniversary, you might not understand this story at all. I don't think the developers did a good job at making this a stand-alone game. The ending seems very final -- there's nothing left to anticipate. I also thought that the game was entirely too short -- much shorter than Legend while also much easier to complete. The only replay value is in the "achievements", many of which will be unlocked in the first play-through. It's a good game and worthy of play by fans, but certainly does not trump the previous games.

Product Description:
Tomb Raider: Underworld for Xbox 360 by Eidos resumes where Tomb Raider: Legend left off. This installment introduces a new, interactive playing environment that gives players a chance to immerse themselves more fully into the game. Players once again take the role of Lara Croft as she explores such wide-ranging places as the Arctic, Mexico, and beneath the Mediterranean Sea.

Lara's environment is now much more realistic and interactive. View larger.

And now she can hold onto a ledge with one hand and fire a gun with the other. View larger. Interactive Worlds Introduces Realistic gameplay
Unlike the previous games in the series, Lara's environment is now much more realistic and interactive. Footprints will be left in mud, for example, but only until it rains and then they will wash away. Lara's shirt will also get wet, and she's more likely to lose her grip if she is standing on a slippery, rain-soaked ledge. When the sun comes out, her shirt will dry and the slippery surfaces regain their friction.
In Underworld, Lara also has a lot more flexibility in how she makes her way through a level, as there is often more than one way to get from here to there. She can now climb walls with texture and rocky outcroppings to reach areas she previously wouldn't have been able to access.
All of these additions have been made to give the game a non-linear, open feel. Players can interactive with the environment by doing things they find to be intuitive, and the game will respond in an appropriate way. When Lara interacts with trees, for example, she will push aside leaves using either one or two hands depending on whether or not she's holding something. These details give a lifelike, immersive sensation to the game.
New Melee Combat System
Underworld introduces a new melee combat system that requires players to strategically strike with offensive, defensive, and evasive maneuvers. Lara can now attack enemies with different punches, kicks, knees, and other acrobatic onslaughts. Items lying on the ground, such as poles that were previously walked on, can be picked up and swung at enemies. Players can also perform a greater variety of actions with weapons; for example, Lara can now hold onto a ledge with one hand and fire a gun with the other.
Realistic Enemy and Animal AI
The AI in Tomb Raider: Underworld has also taken a big step forward--both enemies and animals now make independent decisions based on their surroundings, employ ambush and squad tactics when fighting, and will retreat if deemed necessary.

With updated graphics and a more immersive and realistic gameplay, Tomb Raider: Underworld will have both fans and newcomers excited about the newest installment in this popular video game-pinup franchise.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is loaded with a new melee combat system, various weapons, and smarter AI for both enemies and animals.

Halo 2 Review

Halo 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Halo 2 is an excellent game, there's no doubt in that. The core of the game still remains the same as the original, making it almost impossible to take a step backwards. The thing to think about here is how have the changes and improvements affected this game over its predecessor.

For campaign mode the story is not quite as captivating as the original. In addition you need to have it on Heroic for any type of challenge. And, as many other reviews have said, the game is simply much shorter than the previous (the cut scenes graphically were a little dissapointing too). However, the game is really entertaining. The maps are much more detailed, there's more variance in the layout between checkpoints. They did a pretty good job in making the layout not as repetitive. Plus the scenery is pretty interactive and makes you do a lot more cool stuff to accomplish a mission.

Weapons as well have changed a lot. They have increased the types of weapons, as well as improving ones that used to suck (the needler) and taking away some power from the pistol. The much talked about dual weilding is defiantly a nice advantage. It takes a little getting used to know how to use it best and the best combinations of weapons. Although people have complained about the fact you can't throw grenades while using it, it's more realistic (you do only have two hands). So they've made it a powerful tool, but they didn't want it to be unstoppable. Basically it seems like they've leveled the playing field more and although you may be disappointed because something isn't as dominate as before or than you thought it would be, ultimately it's for the better.

Same thing goes for vehicles: you have more to choose from, with different advantages, but they also made each a little more vulnerable and less unstoppable (the rocket launcher lock helps tremendously from the last game).

The multiplayer part of course is amazing. Looking past some minor faults (not all maps are good, the energy sword is too dominate here, etc.) this part really makes the game a cut above anything else.

The limited edition version here only really provides an extra DVD with the making of (which is interesting but not really necessary... you could easily have a friend tell you the stuff on there that's worth knowing). Besides that and the metal case, it's the same. It's really up to you weather $10-15 bucks difference is that big of a deal for you, cause it's not that big of a difference.

Bottom line: Halo 2 is a great game. It's definitely a lot of fun and very enjoyable. It's a little disappointing because the original Halo was such a huge difference from anything out there and I think everyone was expecting Halo 2 to do the same. Unfortunately, it didn't make any drastic leaps that leave you stunned, but maybe (besides living up to the hype) it didn't really need to be. What it did do was make a lot of tweaks, to try and improve on something that was already incredible. You have to praise Bungie for trying their best to please everyone. In the end the hype may have been too much, but don't let it deter you from enjoying this great game.

I'm 69 years old and my gaming experience, until recently, has been pretty much limited to Pong, PacMan and the Microsoft Flight Simulator. Two years ago I bought a WII, my first console. My favorite game was Excite Truck. That led to a PS3 and GT5P and a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel.

Now my favorite game is "Dirt 2."What an amazing piece of work. The cars handle beautifully, the damage modeling is fantastic, and there is a nice arcade/simulator balance.

I am trying to get some of my friends to buy this game (console, game, wheel, broadband connection, etc.) so that we can race online.

When they pull our real licenses we'll still be racing.Dirt 5 perhaps.

Stuntman: Ignition Review

Stuntman: Ignition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
... I wasn't really into the last stuntman game that hit the market (Forever ago), it was to my memory, very short and painstakingly frustrating. This game, however, is a total blast! I rented it (Something I do on a regular basis these days and would advise everyone to start doing, games are rarely worth 60 bucks anymore)a couple of nights ago and my roommate and I have played it non-stop since. The real challenge is that so much is going on all around you at once you really have to focus to complete what you would think is a real easy 2 minute scene. You have to hit your marks precisely while gas tankers are flipping in front of you, buildings are collapsing, cops are chasing you, etc.
You work on verious different 'movies' or 'commercials' that are all suspiciously familiar: Dukes of Hazzard, James Bond, Dante's Peak, a 70's cop movie, a Rambo-esque action movie and more.
There is plenty of extras to unlock for the perfectionists out there, and you'll probably find yourself going back over past movies just to nail that tricky scene that you just didn't feel that you gave your all to last time around. Don't be fooled by the one reviewer on here that said it was short! He must have the demo, this game is plenty bigger than most games out nowadays and much much more challenging (I complete Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell, Double agent each in a weekend, which is how long I have owned this now and I'm still not done playing) and certainly a lot more fun.
Cons? I honestly can't think of any. I guess some people may find the difficulty a little inconsistent (Some later missions are easier than previous ones) but that's really neither here nor there. My roommate faired better in missions where timing was more important than showmanship, and I was the opposite, so that's where I think the difficulty can appear a little off.
I'd certainly recommend giving this one a go! Best game I've played in a year or so.

Tropico 3 Review

Tropico 3
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Good news for those of you who have harbored dreams of becoming a Latin American Dictator! If you haven't had a chance to play the earlier games in the series, (or even if you did), you should give Tropico 3 a try.

In a nutshell, the game is a combination of Sim City-esque city management, coupled with elements of political maneuvering. You begin by choosing your avatar. What kind of leader do you want to be?There are pre-created options, and you can choose some *cough* fondly remembered leaders like Fidel Castro, etc.Or you can opt to create your own dictator ... right down to their personality traits (strengths and weaknesses) that could have a big ripple effect on the duration and success of your "presidency."You can also customize the look, right down to the style of moustache you want to don.

When the game gets going, you will find it isn't easy to be a ruler of a fledgling island nation. There will be a lot of political, social, economic and military forces that will conflict - and immediately you're going to realize there is a very delicate balancing act required to get things on track.Right off the bat you're going to realize the importance of keeping a balanced workforce, the need to build infrastructure, keeping folks in decent housing, building crops that feed your nation but also helps maintain a steady flow of exports to fill your coffers. And that's just the beginning of the game.

Later on as your island grows - you will need to build even more services to keep your residents happy. You will need to also (if you choose) upgrade your tourist infrastructure to get folks coming in to spend their hard earned dollars in your island paradise. All that - while keeping folks happy, preventing a rebellion, avoiding a foreign invasion, rigging elections, etc.You will have a lot to keep you busy. And don't forget you can micromanage everything - from presidential edicts, to immigration policy, to what kind of crops you want to grow, to individual wages ... to even firing specific people from their jobs.If you like detail, this game is for you.

I've touched on the gameplay above. Now for some other aspects of the game ...

The graphics are very detailed. As your island gets bigger, you can see it buzzing with life. The environment is very detailed and you can even zoom in closely to see how your people are living their daily lives. You can even click on individuals to see what they are happy/unhappy about to get an idea of what you might want to improve on your island.I do have a slight issue with the camera though, as it sometimes can be cumbersome to navigate. Also at times when you are building structures, it might be very hard to see where the entrance of the buildings are ... and could impact how and where you place them.

The music is hilarious. You get pretty much your token latin music selection and often it really feels like you're in the middle of Cuba or some other exciting South American locale. The radio announcer who does faux reports also is amusing, and provides very good info on what's happening in your island paradise. The sound effects in the game definitely adds to the nice atmosphere of the game.

All in all Tropico 3 is a very solid sim game on the Xbox 360.It is very well executed and as long as you enjoy games like these, I'm sure you will consider it a great buy.The somewhat steep difficulty and learning curve might put off casual gamers, but I honestly believe that as long as you put some work into learning the nuances of being a dictator, it will definitely be a rewarding experience with lots of great replay value (after all, you can be different types of dictators ... which is great ha ha)

**IMPORTANT EDIT**
After spending a substantial amount of time playing this game, I came across a major glitch that apparently is affecting all console owners of this game.I have seen many complaints on the developers website about this issue and as of now it appears it has not been addressed.

Apparently if you own the console version and if you try to save the game at a certain point, the game will not load when you attempt to pull up that save at a later time.It will lock up your Xbox and you will have to reboot. This apparently impacts folks who build a city that either has a high population (some folks say they had the issue when their population reached 500+, but I ran into this issue when my population was around 375) .. or too many buildings.I will continue to monitor this and update. But at the moment no patch for the console version has been issued.

Buyer beware! What this means is if you play an extended game (like for me when I'm playing on the sandbox aspect of the game) and your island gets big and successful (which is what you want) and you want to save it, there is a high likelihood you will not be able to reload your game when you try to pull it up later, which kind of defeats the purpose of the game!

**EDIT NUMBER 2**
As of today people are still reporting bugs. However there is word that the developer is preparing a patch. No idea when this will be released.Once can only hope or assume it will be soon. Will continue to update.Meantime, if you can stomach playing the game only in short intervals (it would be hard, as this game is quite good and addictive), you may consider buying now.Otherwise, if you like long games, might wanna wait until this issue is completely resolved.

**EDIT NUMBER 3**
There is word now from Kalypso that a patch is indeed in the works. However, no timeframe for the release is being given. However, at least they are aware of the severity of this bug.Nonetheless, the game issue is still being addressed and I will continue to update if I see anything new.Meantime, just as an FYI for those who are asking, apparently loading the game on the HD does not fix the issue either. So based on this info and what I'm providing as well I would recommended people strongly consider this issue before purchasing, at least until it's resolved.IF you're only looking to play the campaign mode, the game does work fine. This apparently is an issue that only affects the sandbox mode. However, given how much fun the sandbox mode is ... I think one should really think twice until a fix is implemented.

**EDIT NUMBER 4**
This is the latest so far based on someone at Kalypso when asked on their board about when the XBOX 360 patch will be released: "There are no fixed release dates for these kinds of things. We will make the update available via Xbox Live as soon as it's done. This being said, things are going well and we're confident this will be available soon." -- So at least we're seeing some progress. Will continue updating ...

**EDIT NUMBER 5 3/17**
Still nothing concrete from the developers. The forum where one discussion about this issue is taking place still has nothing beyond what they've said before (in short: when they are done, and MSFT has QC'd the patch, you poor gamers will get it then). But at the moment as of this day, still no patch ... Will continue to update as I monitor it daily ...

**EDIT NUMBER 6 3/29**
Still nothing, and there is no patch available for download as of the past weekend.I did a test load of my saved games and they all locked up my xbox ... Why is this taking so long ...

**EDIT NUMBER 7 4/12**
Nothing at all.Did a test run on my xbox last night and again my save files froze my game.Developers have not said anything on the forums despite some more users requesting information. This is pretty lame on their part!See if I ever buy any game made by this company again.

**EDIT NUMBER 8 5/17**
A month has passed since my last update. After recurring checks, there is STILL no update/patch for the game to fix the save file crash issue.Several attempts to reload save files have all failed, and the game still freezes up.There is not a peep on the developer forums, and I think generally most people have given up about asking as well. It's a shame.Remind me not to buy anything from this developer again.

**EDIT NUMBER 9 6/1**
Still nothing.I'm now on the company forums making a fuss.Of course no response (and based on the threads I've seen on the topic, it seems others who complained directly to customer service got the usual corporate brush off with a half hearted attempt to ask about the problem with nothing more than a vague offer of a potential patch in the unforseen future. After 3 months ... you'd think they'd have a fix by now?

**EDIT NUMBER 10 6/14**
Nothing at all.Game still freezes when loading save files.I also noticed there is more activity on the forums, but again it's from people who are asking about why there is no fix for the save file crashes. And again, no response from the company ...

**EDIT NUMBER 11 7/6**
No word whatsoever from developer or publisher about the so-called patch that they said months ago they would make the address the problem. This is very disturbing considering they mentioned it so long ago and still have made zero progress.Nothing is being said on the forums from the company, and I'm seeing lots of complaints from users about the lack of feedback. It's a shame ...

Tropico 3 is a single player simulation and strategy game for Xbox 360. Packed with a blend of classic city building gameplay that requires both the decision-making expertise of a manager, as well as strategic elements that give the player political options ranging from winning the hearts and minds of your people, to crushing their will to resist, it is a twist on traditional city sim games that is not to be missed.

Story and Gameplay
In Tropico 3 players take on the role of "El Presidente," the leader of a millitary coup that has recently taken power over the Banana Republic island nation of Tropico. Simulation aspects of the game play out in a heavy emphasis on civic, residential, millitary and institution building across the island, as well as resource management, with the player given the choice as to how to economically facilitate this growth. Regardless whether you turn Tropico into a vacation paradise, a police state or a modern industrial nation - you will always have to defend your actions before your people. Players wander through Tropico as El Presidente in order to intimidate political opponents, hold populist speeches or just to enjoy your country's own Caribbean flair.

Within the game's 15 missions history takes its course with events such as the Cuba crisis, papal visits and other actual decisive historical events. The choice of the means of governing, and persuasion is entirely yours, and the only question is whether or not your vision of Tropico will survive to play a role in that history.

Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen! Review

Scene It Bright Lights Big Screen
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If your a fan of the other SceneIt's for the 360, your best to avoid this low budget pile of crap. First off the entire format of the game has changed for the worse. There is no online play and no avatar support (it includes it's own characters to choose from). It has Big Button support but it seems sluggish and slow responding. It's obvious that it was not meant to use these controllers due to the fact that there is an Xbox 360 controller taking up half the screen during play to show you how to buzz in (yes seriously!!!). It reminded me of playing a low budget WII port or like going back and watching the never aired pilot of you favorite TV show. Save your money and hope Microsoft adds more downloadable content for SceneIt Box Office Smash.

FIFA Soccer 09 Review

FIFA Soccer 09
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm not really much of a soccer fan, though I will watch during the World Cup or European Championship tournaments and an occassional MLS game. I picked up this game on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. Let's just say that since I've started playing, I haven't put Madden 09 back in my 360.

The controls are pretty straightforward and easy to learn. Soccer strategy was a complete mystery to me before I started playing, but after a few games I was competitive and now can consistently score a few goals a game on the hardest difficulty.

The graphics are pretty good, considering the massive environment that is a soccer field. Close-up reaction shots and celebrations are pretty realistic.

The game certainly has no shortage of teams, that's for sure. There are well over a hundred different teams from dozens of leagues from around the world with complete, accurate rosters.

I wish that there were more stadiums, however. You find yourself playing the same generic few again and again, though they do try to change it up by having different weather conditions and times of day available. I realize that they couldn't have had all of the hundreds of distinct stadiums, but a few more would have been nice.

I can't compare it to any other soccer games, since I've never played any, but if you're looking for an enjoyable, detailed, fun game, FIFA 2009 is a good choice.

Saints Row (Platinum Hits) Review

Saints Row
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Saint's Row is a game that is a blantant rip-off of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, from everything right down to the way you steal cars out from people driving them on the street. But make no mistake: This isn't some rushed piece of garbage simply set out to make money off the GTA franchise. It has a little bit of TLC put into it by the game developers, as well.

Similarities to GTA:
-You can do storyline and free roaming missions
-steal and customize cars
-participate in Turf Wars taking over neighborhoods for your gang
-customize your main character
-wield a large variety of guns
-listen to a large variety of music
-and generally play the game however way you want.

Enhancements over GTA:
-Much superior graphics
-better map
-a GPS system for your maps and vehicles
-customizable cell phone, with allies you can call for backup
-customizable music playlists (in case you get sick of the randomness of the radio stations and want to hear your music anywhere, anytime)
-the hands-down BEST car customization in any non-racing video game, ever!
-health items (food) you can access anytime
-self-regenerating health that heals up from about-to-die to full health in about one minute or so
-superior firearms (albeit none of them look very unique)
-a slightly better menu interface to access your firearms (I just wish they hadn't put the food and weapons in the same system; it gets confusing)
-the police are the most minor threat in the game
-public transportation is available to you (although you more than likely will never use it)
-if you find yourself stuck in water, you can skip having to swim to shore with the "warp" feature, which will do that for you. Pretty cool feature! Why aren't things like that in other games?
-shooting style & difficulity are fair (The shot target is in the fixed-center of the screen and you move the camera to aim, but it's a little harder to use then in GTA)
-both men, AND women, can be recruited as allies in your gang, or killed in other gangs. Hurray for murder equality!
-celebrity voice acting (I instantly recognized Mila Kunis as Tanya and Michael Rapaport as Troy)

Worse from GTA:
-No bikes or motorcycles to ride which is diaspointing
-no boats or planes either (not that they're really needed here)
-character can barely swim
-only one safehouse in the entire city/game
-clothes choices are lame and uninspired
-despite the good voice acting, the dialogue is terrible and it sounds like it was written by the whitest people on the planet (shades of "187: Ride or Die")
-an excessive overuse of cursing (if you're going to use it in every other word, it's impact and gravitas is completely lost)
-the A.I. is stupid, and the enemy gangs have that "random spawning" effect whenever you have a "wanted level" by them
-it's mandatory to do the side missions as you have to earn "respect" in order to do the main storyline missions, and respect is only gained from the side missions
-many of the side missions are hard or just plain annoying, like the later level Escort missions
-your character, although he has great stamina, has terrible running animation, and trying to shoot while running just looks retarded.
-the prices of things are way too high/too much (if you're just staring off and haven't saved up any cash, a fifty dollar hamburger may be a bit much). I'd prefer them if they kept them at "real-world" prices.
-the "humor" of the game is just weak and lacks any level of subtlety whatsoever, like the Wendy's burger chain parody, "Freckle B*tch's" for example
-the radio stations are horribly put together, and their names are awful, too.
-the music is generic and lame, and there's only a few "name brand" artists contributing to the game's soundtrack. Mainly, the Clipse and Twista.
-there's no difficulity setting and the main missions in the game are a bit too easy (while the side missions are often too hard)
-the "escape the police" method in this game is weak and lame. It's a drive-thru confessional booth, not that you'll ever really need to use it. I never even been in "Forgive and Forget" before.
-your recruited allies are complete idiots and you'll spend more time than anything reviving them because they rushed headlong into a dozen or so shooting enemies. They're more of a hassle to use than any kind of help, sort of like bringing young children along for grocery shopping.

-it's pretty easy to die in situations that don't call for it. Your health bar, despite it's regeneration, can't take much damage and a few shots from two or more enemies can take you from full health to death pretty quickly. Like, in three seconds quickly. This is darn frustrating and happens A LOT in the stupid Pushback missions that pop up randomally that you can't avoid skipping over.
-there's NO Body Armor, anywhere in this game, which only adds on to the annoying "easy to die" problem I mentioned above.

-the randomally popping up, mandatory "defend your turf against invading gangs" Pushback Missions. They were just as random and annoying in San Andreas and they're even more annoying here. What's worse is, in order to successfully defend your turf, you'll have to seek out special "lieutenants" instead of just killing everybody in sight. And these 12 or so lieutenants tend to hide out in weird, hard-to-reach places, and you'll have to make your way through dozens of enemies, risking your life, just to make your way to them. It was easier in GTA when you just had to kill everybody invading your land. Here, you'll literally be in an urban battlefield going against dozens of enemies, making your way to one of the four spots in the area your enemy lieutenats are at. (they only hang out three at a time and are scattered wide across the entire neighborhood warzone.) The worse thing about these missions are that they're more or less mandatory, and you won't have time to save whenever they pop up, and they'll pop up often after JUST completing a really hard mission or side quest. At least in San Andreas, it was fun to do these missions, partly because they were do in intervals and all you had to do is be the last man standing. Here, they're just a REALLY annoying chore.

-each gun has it's own set of bullets, making it hard to get ammo. In other games like GTA, bullets are shared between guns of similar types (universal pistol ammo, universal shotgun ammo, etc.), but here, each gun is different with it's own unique bullets in them, and you can only have one gun type (pistol, shotgun, etc.) at a time. BUT, because you can't use ammo from other guns, that you'll often find off of dead bodies, you'll constantly be having to decide whether to swap your gun that's low on ammo out for the one of a gang member you just shot. If so, you'll quickly run of of ammo for that, too. If not, you'll just have an empty gun on you. And thus, you'll be deciding which gun you have that is more fuel efficent, quite often in heavily heated turf wars or in missions with tons of enemies to kill. What's worse is every single gangster carries different random guns on them. If the Vice Kings just all had Vice pistols and the Carnales had a different pistol type they all shared, it'd be a lot simplier. But, no, every time you kill someone, it's "do I run out of ammo, or pick this up instead, even though it only has five more bullets in it than the one I already have?" Basically, you'll easily use up all the ammo for whichever gun you have and will have to replace it for another gun (which only has a few bullets in it) and back and fourth like so. (In other words: YOU'RE *ALWAYS* RUNNING OUT OF AMMO!)Overall, Saint's Row is a worthy edition to the GTA genre of video games. Although it's a rip-off, in every sense of the word, it's defintely not of inferior quality. In fact, Saint's Row is even better than most of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The game, at it's core is nice, but what really bogs it down are the minor negatives, which as you can see, really begin to add up. The game is much better than Three Stars, but all these little things keep it from being Five Star worthy. Other than the numerous minor flaws, the only problem is the story, which is pretty lame and generic, and the script, which is just laughably cheesy in it's attempt to sound "urban" or "gangsta" or "hip hop" or whatever. San Andreas' dialogue and script felt 100% genuine. Saint's Rows, however, sounds forced, like they were too lazy to do their research and just decided to "wing it."

It would be easy to just make a Grand Theft Auto clone that's pretty bad (True Crime has proved that, for us). It would also be pretty easy to try to make your own game, using many of the famous GTA elements involved (I.E, CrackDown). But Saint's Row, however, is a true Grand Theft Auto imitation, that manages not to photocopy the game, but use it as a worthy starting off point for their own series. I like mostly everything in this game, and the only real things keeping it from being superior to every GTA game ever made on the older consoles, is it's cheesy dialogue, numerous small annoyances, it's and cheesy writing, and lame attempts to be "funny."

Other than that, Saint's Row is a worthy duplication of the "sandbox shooting and driving" genre created by GTA itself, and it definitely deserves to be played, even if only as a week-long rental, by ANY Grand Theft Auto fan.
