4.0 out of 5 stars
I'm a 24-year-old fan of all things musical, including the High School Musical movies. I previously purchased the original High School Musical Sing It for Wii (the one with music from the first and second movies) and was disappointed by the lame graphics and difficult menus... but I still couldn't resist this game when I saw it.

This game is definitely an improvement over the last one! (I plan on ditching my old game completely.) You get to sing along to the actual footage from the movies, and I like the menus much better. All in all I find it to be more user-friendly than the past game, and it has different levels for singing (Easy, Normal, Hard), which is great for beginners. It also allows you to choose which character part you wish to sing by name, rather than having to guess which characters are "Part 1" and "Part 2" in the old game. I thoroughly enjoy this, and went through at least half the songs the first time I played it.

I gave it four stars because I would really like to see an opportunity to download more songs. Wii is a great platform for party/get-together games, and a good karaoke game utilizing the Wii connectivity feature to stream or download songs would be a great thing. Also, I would like to see wireless microphones, because I feel like there's an audio delay between what I see on my HDTV and what I sing... if it had a calibration feature like Guitar Hero, that would improve it tremendously in terms of accuracy.

I may be an "older" fan of the Disney HSM franchise, but I think this would be really fun for kids too, especially if you put it on level "Easy" and just let them rock out!

Disney Sing It Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my daughter and she loves singing High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Camp Rock. So this was perfect for her. I was really impressed with how Disney put this product together. Normally on Karaoke, you get some fake singer and a generic picture of 2 couples riding a horse on a beach. Not this one. You not only get the actual song, but you also get clips directly from the movie or a clip from the actual concert. The video also looks great on screen. They are DVD quality. Also fun was the duet mode, but you need 2 mics for it.

Now the bad part. They do have a section for trying to teach you how to sing, but it is not done very well. It would have been good if you could pick a song and have them go over it slowly. You do not have control as to what key the song is played in or much control over the mic settings.

However, even though the songs are fast and pretty difficult to sing, my daughter had a blast singing to them.

Disney's Bolt Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Unlike most movie based games, this one you play through episodes of the Bolt TV show that is briefly shown in the movie. Instead of interactively reliving the movie like most movie based games. The Bolt levels are fun and full of over the top bolt combat. The Penny based levels are stealthy and have fun puzzles to solve. The kids will love it, I thought it was really fun and am waiting for the kids to be done with it so I can play.

Pure Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)When playing this game I could really appreciate the fact that it is well made and that the graphics are outstanding. The gameplay however was not up my alley. I thought it was going to be more of a racer that had jumps included, but a good part of the game consists in stringing together jumps and tricks in order to increase your boost. Those that are looking for this kind of experience won't be disappointed, but if you are like me, and you are looking for an experience more along the lines of games like Motorstorm, you may not find this one to be the best option.

SpongeBob's Truth or Square Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This game is similar to some of the 3-D Spongebob games of the past (Spongebob Squarepants Movie game, Battle for Bikini Bottom, Flying Dutchman, etc. but not at all similar to Lights, Camera, Pants) only with better graphics, more playable characters, and special moves based on manipulating the Wii remote and nunchuck. My nine year says this game is easy, but he has not stopped playing it since getting it.I can tell he enjoys playing it very much.
