This game was pretty good.I'll get the complaints out of the way first.
First complaint,The game should have been titled "Terminator Loading" because there was a ridiculous amount of loading screens.
Complaint number two, it only took me about 4 or 5 hours to beat on hard difficulty and the game just came out today.I'll admit though most games aren't long enough to warrant the 60 dollar price tag so I kinda expected a little let down there.

Enough complaining. The game play was fun.You can instantly see some gears of war influence. Not saying it is quite as good as gears but it's the freakin Terminator.Sorry no Arnold and John Conner doesn't look like Batman.Big deal. The weapon choice is scant. To be honest most of them only tickle the enemies but they are war machines so it adds to the intensity of some of the fire fights. If you play this game play it on hard difficulty. You might throw your controller once or twice but it will make the game last longer.Sorry no online multiplayer.Split screen co-op only.Hope this was useful.

Terminator: Salvation is a prequel to the events of the major motionpicture of the same name. It is two years after Judgment Day--the date thatthe Terminator mythology assigns to the nuclear event that the machineswill rain down on planet Earth--and what's left of humanity is caught ina life and death struggle against that same machine intelligence that sprungto life from the former defense super computer known as Skynet. Yet thingsare not quite what the the earlier chapters in the Terminator saga had predictedfor these days. Although over the last two years human survivors of thecatastrophe have prepared and organized themselves for the ongoing battlewith the machines, John Connor, the character that the player assumes, hasyet to emerge as the legendary hero he was foretold to be, and time is runningout. In its early nuclear strikes against humanity, Skynet damaged partof itself. It has spent the last two years rebuilding its strength as well in orderto complete its mission of the extermination of the human race. Now is thetime to strike back at the machines. Now is the time for you and John Connorto take command.

Gameplay and Co-op Support
Action in Terminator: Salvation is from a third-person perspectiveand relies heavily on the use of cover. Correspondingly players will beable to lock on to cover, dive or slide from one cover point to the nextand fire weapons without exposing themselves to return fire, but thisdoesn't mean that combat is easy. Cover is fully destructible in the game, meaning that your mechanical enemies will attempt to take that advantageaway from you if they recognize that you are dug in. They will also makeevery attempt to flank your position. These two points are important becauseTerminator: Salvation forces you to take care of yourself in itssingle player campaign by not featuring a health regeneration system betweencheckpoints (health is fully restored at the end of survived levels). But healthcan be regenerated during combat via an AI or human teammate anytime whenplaying in the game's local co-op mode. The ability to team up in co-opmode is also a major aspect of gameplay in that it allows players to turnthe tables on terminator units by flanking them and attacking their lessheavily armored sides rather than head on. Both single player and co-opmodes also feature access to vehicles which can be battled from as well.
