(More customer reviews)This product looks good and indeed the cable works as expected (indicates low battery with red LED, charges as you play, indicates battery charged with green LED) but the battery wont hold a charge. My latest test (repeated for the 4th and final time) was trying to power up the controller at 11pm but the battery was dead, plugged in cable and powered up and played for two hours (battery should be charging the whole two hours), powered off console at 1am but cable LED (solid green) and controller LED (flashing) indicate that charging continues, disconnected cable from controller at 8AM (7 hours later, cable has solid green LED indicating full charge, with controller not flashing, then disconnect) and by 10AM attempting to turn on controller fails again per batery not charged. Conclusion: THE BATTERY DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE. I will pass all this on to the seller and see if maybe I just got a bad battery or something.
**UPDATE**
I did contact the seller and they promptly sent me a replacement pack. The replacement was a different product, or a different version if you will - different packaging/branding AND slight differences in the battery and cable. The replacement cable was definitely better made (holding screws on the terminal cover at the contoller end), and the replacement battery was slightly heavier and was 3800mAh instead of the 4800mAh on the original battery I received. Most importantly, the replacement pack worked exactly as expected!
